The death of Edward A. Wilband, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Colwell) Wilband, occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, June 7, 2010. Mr. Wilband was born in Saint John, a son of the late Stephen and Clara (MacLean) Wilband. He had been employed with General Motors in Oshawa for over 35 years until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Adanac Club. He was predeceased by a son, Blake Wilband. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen and Brent Wilband, both of Toronto; three daughters, Wendy Rolfe (Wayne), Glenda Craigwell (Arthur), and Paula Wilband (Neil), all of Oshawa; three sisters, Louise Pagliaro of Tampa, Fla., Claire Partridge of Queen Creek, Ar., and Joan DeVore of Gilbert, Ar.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Service will be held in Fitzpatrick's Chapel on Monday morning at eleven o'clock. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
