
Roger Glover
GLOVER - Roger Alan, aged 74 years of Morse, died peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Roger was born in Herbert, SK, on June 16, 1935m and lived most of his life in the Glen Kerr area. He received his education at Lady Bank School and married Sandra Lucas on August 8, 1959. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra; sons Kelly (Bev) and Jeff (Lisa), grandsons Maxwell and Sebastian; brother Bob (Shirley); sisters June (Don) Weppler and Joan Buckley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth; brothers Ted and Jack and; sisters Mary Pavelich and Norma Oudot. Roger's life work was farming where he worked tirelessly until his retirement in 2006, when he and Sandra moved into Morse. He was an active community member serving on many boards including the Glen Kerr Co-op, Morse Co-op, Sask Wheat Pool and Morse Credit Union. Roger was also involved with the Ernold Lions Club and a member of the Glen Kerr Legion. He enjoyed many sports including hockey, ball, fishing, broomball, curling and last but not least "Hockey Night in Canada". Those that knew Roger knew that he was a die hard Maple Leafs fan and never gave up on them! Playing cards was a favorite pastime, whether it was those wild family New Year's Day poker parties or the more formal cribbage tournaments. A Celebration of Roger's Life was held at the Morse Community Hall on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations in Roger's memory may be directed to the Herbert Integrated Health Facility or a charity of their choice.
