Sister Adélina Robichaud, in religion, Sister Marie Ste-Bérénice, f.j., passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Monarch Hall in Riverview where she resided. Born in Pokemouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Célina (Robichaud) Robichaud. She was 94 in her 74th year of her religious profession. Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Simonne Peers of Coburg, ON and Anne-Marie Charron of Ville d'Anjou, QC, also several nieces and nephews.
Sister's life mission can be summarized as one of dedication to her Congregation, mostly supervisor of the children placed under her care in boarding school in Nova Scotia and Alberta. As a nurse's aid, she showed compassion in the care of the sick in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. As a superior of her community, she proved to be very comprehensive.
Her remains will be resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until departure. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, Riverview, on Wednesday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. www.frenettefuneralhome.com
