The passing of Aurore Graham of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late James Freeman Graham, occurred on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 24, 1923 in St. Charles, NB, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Élise (Daigle) Chavarie. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret "Maggie" McLaughlin (John) of Fredericton, NB, Sharon Ingleton (Derek) of Quispamsis, NB and Carla Bleakney (Stephen) of Fredericton, NB; sons, Bill Graham (Elayna Katz) of Ottawa, ON and the late James Donald Graham (May 6, 2010) (Cynthia) of Douglas, NB; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Babineau of Moncton, NB and Antoinette "Tony" Fry of Faro, Yukon Territory; several nieces and nephews. She showed her love in many ways. Artistically, it was evident in her beautiful paintings and she was a gifted seamstress. She had a young spirit and embraced each day with a compassionate heart and a lovely sense of humour. She loved people. She will be remembered as a mother who cared for her children immensely and devoted her life to their cause. Nothing pleased her more than to have family and friends visit her at home on 112 Bessborough Street, Fredericton, NB and at her cottage along side the Richibucto River.
A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 2 pm. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Chalmers Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Unit or the charity of the donor's choice.
