Mr. John Robert Mather, husband of Cheryl (Mazerolle) Mather of King George Hwy, Miramichi passed away Tuesday, June 15th, 2010 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 55. Born in Newcastle NB, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Martin) Mather. He was the Fire Chief for the City of Miramichi and a former member of Chatham Lyons Club. Besides his wife Cheryl, he is survived by two daughters, Melissa Lisik (Bjorn) of Saint John and Amy Mather of Miramichi, one sister, Betty MacLean and three half sisters, Joan, Nancy and Suzanne, one grandchild Audrey. He was predeceased by his parents.
Mr. John Robert Mather will be resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi with visitation today Thursday, June 17th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 18th, 2010 at 11 a.m. from St. Michael's Basilica with Father John Fraser officiating.
