Gladys Lillian Graham, 94, of the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou, formerly of Riverbank Street, Stellarton, passed away peacefully June 16, 2010 in the nursing home.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Brooks) Clark.
Gladys was a resident of Riverbank Street, Stellarton, for most of her life, having resided in the Shiretown Nursing Home in Pictou for the past nine years.
She was a member of the Christ Anglican Church in Stellarton, where she served with the ACW, the Ladies Guild and a former active choir member for a number of years. She was a member of the Southern Cross Rebekah Lodge No. 3 where she served as Past Noble Grand and served one term as District Deputy President. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are a daughter, Helen Elizabeth"Betty" (Al) Madore, Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Graham and Dawn Madore: three great-granddaughters: Kathleen, Taylor and Chance.
She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Dort Graham in 1995; brothers: Herbert, John, Thomas and Gordon; a sister Frances in 1994.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visiting from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday from the Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Reception to follow in the church hall.
