Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 in the presence of his loving wife Bertha, John Richard Tucker at age 63. Leaving to mourn with his wife Bertha, his two children Greg (Nikki) and Lori (Brad); two brothers: Warren (Gladys) and Alvin (Mildred); sister Elaine (Carl) Chipman; mother and father-in-law Rebecca & Charles Oliver; sisters-in-law: Josephine Tucker and Elaine Tucker; the Oliver Family and a large number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Heber and Mary Tucker, and brothers Lloyd (Shirley), Ira, Graham and Adolphus. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, May 14th from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday, May 15th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Service from Barrett’s Chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 16th. Interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hamilton Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Solid Rock Wesleyan Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
