Alfred Cormier, 87, of Lantana, Florida, formerly of Moncton, NB, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in Florida following a lengthy illness. Born August 24, 1922 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Gregoire and Albina (Savoie) Cormier. He is survived by his two children: Denise Brown (Steven) of Lantana, Florida with whom he resided, Daniel (Cheryl) of Sudbury, Ma; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a sister Yvonne Melanson of Moncton; three brothers; Edward (Thelma) of Moncton, Emile (Emerise) of Wooler On, Paul (Marie-Anne) of Sept Isle, Qc., many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Della (LeBlanc) in 2007; two brothers; Henri and Neri; two sisters; Agnes Arsenault and Maria Sonier.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, Moncton, on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the Christ-Roi Golden Age Club. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Dieppe.
