Maurille Leger, 85, of Trois Ruisseaux passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at his residence following a sudden illness. Born September 8, 1924 in Trois-Ruisseaux, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Rose-Anna (LeBlanc) Léger. As a farmer, Maurille was best known for his Strawberry Farm. Maurille will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 42 years, Francine (Doiron) Léger and their son Charles (Nadine), two grand children: Janie and Samuel all of Trois Ruisseaux; six sisters; Stephanie Leger, Irma Leger and Héléna LeBlanc (Paul) all of Moncton, Lorraine Cossette (late Antonio) of Lansing Michigan, Auréa Lirette (Ovila) of Shediac, Léontine Cormier (Gérard) of Trois Ruisseaux; two sisters in law: Léona Léger of Shediac and Aline Léger of Portage, and by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by an infant son Jean; one sister; Rachel and two brothers; Alban and Guillaume.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Monday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9;30 a.m. until time of departure 10:20 a.m. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pelé. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
