Ada R. Parker, 73, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Salisbury, NB and Middle Sackville, NS, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, June 18, 2010. Born in Walton, NS, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Isabel (Skaling) Starratt. Ada was employed in the 1970's with Emergency Reporting Services as a dispatcher for Sackville, Mount Uniacke, Hammonds Plains and Beaverbank Fire Departments. She had a great love of camping, fishing, music especially singing but her special love was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ada will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Harold Parker; her children, Donna Wiswell (Tony), Danny (Lisa) and John (Carrie); grandchildren, Jamie, Ryan (Grace), Nicole, Matthew, Laura, Scott, Bradley, Trisden, Riley and Macabe; great grandchildren, Morgan, Zachary, Anna and Brooklyn; sisters, Alice Bryan (Derek), Elizabeth Smith, Janet Cox (Joe), Rachael Weatherbee (David); brothers, Albert (Lee), George, Randy (Pam), Mike (Gloria), Rick (Karen); sister in law, Arlene; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ernie; sister in law, Carol; niece, Annette; mother in law, Gertrude and father in law, Richard.
In keeping with Ada's wishes, no visitation hours. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, Lower Sackville, NS, Tuesday June 22, 2010, 1:00pm. Rev. Sandra Hounsell - Drover officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
