Marjorie Thelma Lutes, 88, of Moncton, with her loving family and two special girls by her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, June 20, 2010. Born in Hildegard, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Hilda (Lutes) Lutes. Marjorie was a member of the R.C.A.F during WWII., a seamstress with the T. Eaton Co. for over 25 years, then retired from the housekeeping dept. of the Moncton Hospital. She attended Hillside Baptist Church where she was a member of the 3 C's Seniors Group, was an avid quilter, enjoyed bowling with the Eaton's Seniors Bowling League and loved playing cards (our master of Skip-Bo!). Her heart and her doors were always open to family and friends. Marj will be sadly missed by her sister, Clara Horsman of Moncton; she will be deeply missed by all of her loving nieces and nephews and her many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Trevelyn and Bertha; brothers, Arnold, Willard, Elmer and Dean. Marj was a loved and loving aunt to her large extended family and we will miss her dearly.
Honouring Marj's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Sharing of Memories and a Celebration of Marjorie's Life will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Reception Centre, Friday, June 25, 2010, 2pm to 4pm. Private Family Graveside Service to be held. In Marjorie's memory, memorial donations to Friends of the Moncton Hospital or memorial of choice would be appreciated by the family.
