On Thursday, May 14, 2009, surrounded by love and family, Charles Orville Smith of Kinkora peacefully passed away. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Georgina (Green); son Randall (Marcia); daughter Laurie (Darren Ings) and by four cherished granddaughters Morissa and Christie Anne Ings and Murphy and Shae Smith. Also left to mourn are mother-in-law Catherine (Kay) Green; sister Edith McMahon; brothers Gerald (Ita); Lloyd (Ann); Alban (Terry); Carmen (Alberta) and Leslie (Betty); sisters-in-law Shirley (Leo Murphy), MaryAl (Bill Duffy); Nancy (Dan Beaton); brothers-in-law Paul (Deb); Lee (Denise); Tom (Mel) and Roger (Jeanine), as well as 72 nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, William and Mabel (Johnson); father-in-law Clayton Green and brothers Louis, Carl, Preston; sisters Lorraine and Noreen (Shea). Remains are resting at the Lawless Funeral Home in Kinkora for visiting hours Sunday, May 17, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will be held Monday, May 18 at St. Malachy’s Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to Dr. Rockwood’s Memory Disability Clinic or Medical Palliative Care Clinic.
