Mrs. Barbara Allaby of Pleasant Ridge passed away on June 20, 2010 at the age of 73. Barbara is survived by her husband, Doug Allaby; three sons: Mitchell and John both of Sussex and Eric (Joanne Munroe) of Manitoba; two daughters: Irma McLaughlin (Mike) of Sussex and Marsha Rasmussen (Mike) of Inverness, NS; two sisters: Elizabeth Trites (Gerald) of Berwick and Darlene Mott (Bev) of Sussex Corner; two brothers: Kenneth Wright (Barb) of Roachville and Malcolm Wright of Penobsquis; her sister-in-law, Violet Wright of Halifax; several grandchildren, step grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as several step brothers, step sisters; nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her son Ken; her grandson Patrick; two brothers: Lloyd and Eslie Wright; her step mother, Leota Wright and her step-sister, Audrey Wright.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
