It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thelma Albertha Cook announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, June 21, 2010, at the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband John (Jack) and two sons: Geoffrey (Elaine) Cook of Port aux Basques, Gregory Cook of Stephenville; three sisters: Esther Ellsworth of Pasadena, Elizabeth Critch of Rocky Harbour, May (Herbert) Geddes Medicine Hat, Alberta; four grandchildren: Megan, Gregory, Adam, Nathan and three great-grandchildren: Desmond Cook, Cohen Cook and Madeline Osmond and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Silas and Harriet Pittman, two brothers: Rendell and Gordon Pittman, two sisters: Isabella Critch and Sarah Nurse. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday, June 22nd and Wednesday, June 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 24th at 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Canon Dawn Barrett officiating. Cremation will take place after the Funeral Service and Interment will take place on Friday, June 25th at 2 p.m. at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
