Peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on June 23, 2010, Mrs. Mary Louise (Lord) Stuart, wife of the late Stedman Belle Stuart, formerly of Lords Cove, Deer Island, NB. Born at Lords Cove on February 17, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Newell and Nora (McGinnis) Lord. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by three sons; Kenneth (Andrea) Stuart of St. George, NB, Maurice Stuart (Gloria Cline) of Oromocto, NB and Douglas (Gail) Stuart of Lords Cove, two daughters; Doreen (Dale) Eynon of Stratford, PEI and Margaret (Rick) Hawkins of Beaver Harbour, NB, 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband Stedman, she was predeceased by one brother, Morton and by four sisters; Cora, Avis, Alice and Ferne.
Mary was a long time resident of Lords Cove and was an active member of the Lords Cove Church of Christ where she was an organist and pianist for more then 40 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, from where the service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm with her son in law, Rev. Dale Eynon officiating, followed by the interment at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Island. Visiting at the church on Friday from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fundy Nursing Home Chapel Project would be greatly appreciated by the family. Due to allergies in the immediate family, please refrain from wearing scented products to both the visiting and the service.
