The unexpected death of Joan G. Cunningham, of Saint John West occurred peacefully at her residence on June 26, 2010. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Cripps) Long. Joan is survived by her son Dave (Dianne) Cunningham of Saint John, and her daughter Susan (Gord) McDonald of Uxbridge, Ont, grandchildren Heidi and Geoff Cunningham, and Shane McDonald, several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Harry.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the West Side Food Bank, the Elisa Vincent Memorial Fund of Silver Falls Church, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
