Catherine R. Richmond, 72, of Moncton, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her residence. Born in Saskatoon, SK, she was the daughter of the late Arthur John "Jack" and Elsie Julia (Fraser) Haddon. Catherine grew up in Richmond, BC and she loved gardening, cooking, and baking. She was a passionate owner and breeder of Labrador Retrievers. She retired after a lengthy career with Correctional Services Canada, having served at institutions in Kingston, Ontario and Dorchester, NB. Catherine will be sadly missed by her sons, Michael Richmond (Goldie), Brampton, ON; Arthur Richmond (Karen Walton), Kanata, ON; Edward Richmond, Ottawa, ON; daughter, Carolyn Fisher (Mark), Waterloo, ON; grandchildren Samantha, Katie, Jennifer, Alexander, Oliver, Kieran, Chrysta, William, and Hannah; brother, John Haddon (Barbara), Surrey, BC; sister, Helen Martin (Earl), Langley, BC; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Tuesday 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 30, 2010, 1:30 pm. Interment, St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Brown's Yard.
