Passed peacefully away at The Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Friday, June 25, 2010 David West age 76 years of Ladle Cove. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Marion; son Roy(Danielle) of Ottawa; daughter Sheila Abbott(Bill) of Musgrave Harbour; sisters Nina Himphey of St. John's, Ivy Harvey(Wallace) of Carmanville and Fannie Angell(Joe) of Noggin Cove; sister-in-law Mollie West of Gander; grandchildren Steven(Ani-pierre), Sarah and Vincent of Ottawa; Justin Abbott(Jolene) of Roger's Cove; great-grandchildren David and Ailey; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at St. Stephen's United Church, Ladle Cove on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 with Rev. Harry Templeman officiating. Interment followed at The United Cemetery, Ladle Cove.
