Grace I. McCrea, 87, widow of the late Justin Hugh McCrea (1996), of Salisbury Road, Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday June 29, 2010. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Henry G. and Della (Wilson) Rice. Grace was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a longtime member of Allison Church, former church organist and life member of the W.M.S. Grace will be sadly missed by her daughters, Ann MacAulay (Peter R. Breau) and Elizabeth McCrea, both of Moncton; son, James H. McCrea (Lynne), Oakville, ON; grandchildren, Kim (MacAulay) MacMillan (Steve), Moncton, Jenny MacAulay Bryant (Trevor), Calgary, AB, Jaime (MacAulay) DiDonato (Roberto), Moncton, Michelle McCrea (Jim Humphrey), Burlington, ON; great grandchildren, Piper Ann Grace MacMillan, Danica James Cynthia Bryant, Tatum Willow Michaela Bryant, Dario Azzurri DiDonato, Aria Ainsley DiDonato; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son in law, James W. A. MacAulay (2000); brother, Ronald I. Rice.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Allison Church (1539 Salisbury Rd.) Friday July 2, 2010, 11:00am. Rev. David Morehouse officiating. Reception in the church hall following the service. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
