The death of Stephen "Steve" Thomas Carroll, loving spouse of Yvette (Monzerolle) Carroll, occurred on June 29, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1938 in Six Roads, NB he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary-Anne Carroll. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his sons Thomas of Saint John, Leonard of Damascus, Charlie (Cecile) of Hampton, David (LeRoy) of Toronto, Randy (Julie) of Rothesay; daughters Susan (Basil) Branscombe of Lepreau, Sylvie of Saint John and Lisa (Matt) Farrer of Saint John; brother Donald of Montreal; sisters Theresa of Inkerman, NB and Greta (Charlie) of Dryden, ON; grandchildren Dylan, Danielle, Jordan, Lacey, Corey, James, Stephen, Anna, Leah, Sarah, Britney, and Madelyn; great-grandchildren Chloe and Thaner; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Johnny and sister Viola Springhall. Steve will be sadly missed by his loving family. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and involved with the Labourers Union Local 1278 for most of his life. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything that was broken. He also enjoyed woodworking especially making bird houses.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint Joachim's Catholic Church on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery after which a reception will be held in the church hall.
