Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Saturday, June 26, 2010, Albert L. "Les" Pottle of Salmon Cove, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents: Albert and Alice Pottle; sisters: Kathleen, Florrie, Nina, Allison and Ada; brother: Kenneth. Left to mourn, wife: Viola; two brothers: Oliver, New Hampshire and Reuben, St. John's; two sisters: Annie Watson, Toronto, ON and Lavinia Rees, St. John's; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jesse Bown conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, June 29 at the United Church, Freshwater, Carbonear. Interment took place in the United Cemetery, Freshwater, Carbonear.
