Dugald Stewart, 100, of St. Louis de Kent passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1st, 2010 at the Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent.
Born in Claire-Fontaine he was the son of the late Duncan and late Isabella (Comeau) Stewart.
He was employed with W.S. Loggie Co. Ltd. for several years, finally retiring in 1982. He attended St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent.
Dugald will be sadly missed by his two step daughters, Patricia Babin and Marielle Vautour both of St. Louis de Kent; two step sons, Leo-Paul Vautour of Montreal, Quebec and Lionel Gallant (Anita) of St. Louis de Kent; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Walsh of Baie-Ste-Anne; several nieces and nephews.
Dugald was predeceased by his 1st wife, Anna (Guimond) Stewart; 2nd wife, Lucie (Richard) Stewart; and 3rd wife, Germaine (Vautour) Stewart; two sisters, Isabella (Dolly) Stewart, Margaret Devine; two brothers, Roary, Duncan; and one step granddaughter, Huberte Gallant.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 5th, 2010 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. If so desired donations may be made in Dugald's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
