1917 - 2010 - Donald B. Dunfield of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home passed away, with his family by his side, Thursday, July 1, 2010. He was formerly a resident of Riverview, NB. Born in Anagance, NB on April 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Francis (Bicknell) Dunfield. He was a member of the Anagance United Church. He was employed with Canada Custom's and Immigration for 35 years before retiring. He served with the RCAF during WWII and was a member of the Canadian Legion #86, Havelock, NB. He was the past president of Customs and Excise Association, NB and PE. A life member of the Coverdale Masonic Lodge #52 and a long time member of the Riverview Lion's Club. Donald is survived by his wife, of 71 years, Kathleen (Graves), his children; Laurie (Carol) of Sherwood Park, AB, Kathleen Dale (Raphael) Dael of Riverview, NB, Ladd (Ruth) of St. Andrew's, NB, grandchildren; Christopher (Ressia), Timothy (Joanne), Jesse, Todd (Cherie) and Malinda, as well as seven great-grandchildren. His sister Ella and brother Everett still survive and reside in Anagance, NB. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Ella Dunfield.
There will be no visitation by personal request. A memorial service will be held from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007), on Wednesday, July 7 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Robert Campbell officiating. A Veteran's service will be conducted by the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association and the Havelock Legion Branch #86, followed by the Coverdale Masonic Lodge #52 service.
