New Glasgow- John Lawrence MacMullin, 81 of High Crest Home, New Glasgow passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Dominion cape Breton he was a son of the late Hannah Jean (Timmons) Bowden. He worked in the woods and on construction. He is survived by sisters: Mary Smith, New Glasgow; Mary Henry and Olive Antle, Cape Breton; brother: Lewis Bowden, Halifax; niece: Theresa (Fred) Reid, Trenton; nephews: Robert (Charlene) Smith and Allan (Helen) Smith, of New Glasgow; nieces and nephews in Cape Breton. John was also close to his friends at the V Filling Station, Bruce, Stephen and Kevin MacKay. He was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Neil and Annabelle (MacDonald) MacMullin, step mother, Mary (McLennan) MacMullin, step father, Jerry Bowden, brothers: Lionel Bowden, Sonny and Henry MacMullin, sister, Elizabeth Hogan. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held 6:pm Wednesday in Holy Cross Cemetery New Glasgow with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
