The death occurred at his home in Wheatley River on Monday, May 18, 2009, of Gordie Connors, age 46. Gordie was the beloved son of Gerald and Ishbel (nee Farquharson) Connors and brother of Margo (Hope Sollows). He is also survived by his life partner, Leanne Longden and her children, Kenneth, Robert, Shawna-Lee and Kiarra; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was predeceased by an infant brother and sister; and by his best friend, Geoff LePage, in 1986. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central Queen’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
