Otterson, Verna – 74, Lower Onslow, passed away May 18, 2009 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Pembroke, Upper Stewiacke, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Ruth (Graham) Hamilton.
Surviving are her husband, Earl; sons, Floyd (Tammy), Freddie (Joanne), Frankie (Niki); grandchildren, Jennifer, Dylan, Jared, Jalyssa, Shane, Jenna, Madison; sisters, Lauretta, Iona (Art), Glenda, Evelyn; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Ruthie; brother, Boyd.
Verna worked at Stanfield’s for a number of years, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved animals, having cats, dogs, chickens and hens for most of her life.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A family committal service will be held in Clark’s Cemetery, Lower Onslow. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA, or a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
