Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre, St. Lawrence, on July 2nd, 2010, ARMENA MAYO, of Creston South, in her 95th year. Leaving to mourn her loving sons Bill (Joan), Creston South, Sam (Effie), Creston North, John, Creston South, Charlie, Salt Pond, daughters Margaret Hodder (Clifford), Nova Scotia, Shirley Hanabusa (Yoshi), Brampton, ON, Christine Smith (Dave), Creston South; 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren; sister Emily Marshall (Bert), Winterland, brother Willis Fizzard (Margaret), Creston North; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents George and Elizabeth Fizzard, Husband Samuel W., daughters Marlene Brushett, Effie, Ann, and Betty; grandchildren Larry, Christopher, and Gregory Hodder. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mary Harris on July 05th, 2010 at 2 PM. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery, Creston North, NL. Pall bearers were Bill Mayo, Sam Mayo, John Mayo, Cyril Mayo, Cory Mayo, Jeffrey Hanabusa, Greg Farrell, and Shawn Brushett. Donations in Armena's memory may be made to Marystown Special Olympics.
