1930 - 2010 - Louise Violet Dickson, age 80 years of Hopewell Cape, NB; passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, July 7th, 2010. Born on February 7th, 1930; she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Emma (Edgett) Dickson. Louise was a member of the Hopewell Hill Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She had a strong faith in God and enjoyed the activities of her church. She loved nature, her pet cats, gardening, writing poetry and painting. As a direct descendant of Robert Dickson, early settler of Hopewell Cape, Louise was a knowledgeable resource when she worked at the Albert County Museum. Louise is survived by her sister Sylvia Willett; sisters in law Florence Dickson, Dorothy Dickson; nieces Susan, Marilyn, Joan, Jean and Sherry; nephew Darrel; also by many cousins extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Clyde and Ronald; sister Cathleen; nephew Harold Dickson; and brother in law Harold Willett.
By personal request, there will be no visitation or funeral service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held from the Mountain View Cemetery in Lower Cape on Thursday, July 8th, 2010 at 1pm with Pastor Ron Nelson officiating. In memory of Louise, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
