The death of Beverley Margaret Dickie, 48, of Sydney, occurred at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.
She had a successful career with Aliant (Maritime Tel & Tel) spanning 30 years in Halifax and returned to Sydney on retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Thistle and his daughter, Jillian of Sydney; her parents Jim and Marian Dickie, Little Narrows; brother, Jimi (Elizabeth), Sydney; sisters, Mary (Ian) MacKenzie, Little Narrows; Carol (Peter) Wilson, Head of St. Margaret’s Bay and sister-in-law, Patricia (Bill deceased) Dickie, Sydney.
She was predeceased by her brother, Bill (2007) and sister, Allyson in infancy.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends, aunt, uncles, niece, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Beverley Dickie will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. There will be a private family committal at Little Narrows Presbyterian Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to C.B. Palliative Care or Cape Breton Cancer Clinic would be appreciated.
