MacDONALD, Annie Irene – 89, Bible Hill, passed away suddenly on Sunday evening, February 1, 2009 at her home. Born April 7, 1919 in Cardigan, PE, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Angus MacPhee. Annie was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Truro. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family dearly and extended this love to the many foster children she cared for over the years. Annie is survived by her daughters, Ann O’Donnell, Truro; Mary MacDonald, Halifax; sons, Gordon (Sheila), Nashville, Tennessee; Merlyn, Bible Hill; grandchildren, Faith O’Donnell, Truro; April Oxner, Halifax; Sabrina and Joey MacDonald, Dartmouth; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Alfred; sons, Daniel and Douglas; sisters, Mary Stewart, Angie MacKinnon; brothers, Allan, Mike, Ad, George and Francis MacPhee. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am, Saturday, May 30, 2009 in Saint George’s Roman Catholic Church, Saint George, Prince Edward Island, Father Brendon Gallant officiating. Interment will then be in the church cemetery. Reception will follow. Family flowers only.
