Morris, Patricia Ann (“Patsyâ€) 67, Halifax. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on Tuesday May 19th, 2009 at the VG site of the QE11 hospital. Born in Cape Breton, Patsy was the daughter of Rita Sampson and the late Henry Lawrence (“Larryâ€) Sampson. She is survived by daughters Linda (Steve) Armstrong and Debbie (Kenny) Freeborn; her mother, Rita Sampson; brother Buckey (Ann) Sampson and their family of very special nieces and nephews. Nannie will be missed greatly by her cherished grandchildren Taylor, Kyle and Zakery. Patsy was predeceased by her father, Henry Lawrence, and loving husband Albert. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 30th at 1pm at St. John the Baptist Church in River Bourgeois, Cape Breton. Donations in Patsy’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Music Therapy Program (VG site) through the QE11 Hospital Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff of 7A at the VG and each member of the Palliative Care Team who cared for our precious mother with such kindness and compassion.
