It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George Doyle, French Road, at home on July 12, 2010 at the age of 65.
George was the son of the late Michael and Lyra Doyle.
Left to mourn George are his wife of 38 years, Sandra (Martin) Doyle; daughter, Jennifer (Dwayne) MacDonald; son, George Doyle Jr., and grandchildren, Megan and Mitchell MacDonald. Also surviving are brother, Michael (Betty) Doyle; sisters, Effie MacPhee, Vera Verdelotti, Molly (Bob) Turpin, Minetta (Garnet) Gratton and Wanda Weisbeck; as well as many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers, Basil and Gerald Doyle; sister, Elaine Campbell.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service for George will be held 7 p.m. Thursday July 15, 2010 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Pastor Sheldon Chant officiating.
