Peacefully at his residence in New Zealand on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, of John Alvin (Johnny) Gallant, age 55 years.
Beloved husband of Melvina (nee Gregory). Father of Greg (Kate) and Lacey (Kyle). Son of Evelyn and the late Clarence Gallant of Oyster Bed Bridge. Brother of Edward (Gerarda), Elmer (Trish), Alfred (Joan), Richard (Elizabeth), Ann (Paul), Gerard (Lionel), and Carol (Edgar) Perry. Son-in-law of Renilda and the late Charles Gregory. Brother-in-law of Irene Gregory, Mary Jean Amos, George (Lois) Gregory, Melford Gregory, Mae (Mike) Kielly, Lorraine (Dan) Byrne, Margaret Leonard) Byrne, D.J. (Debbie) Gregory, Lorna (Keith) Jennings and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Eddie, Kenneth, Sinnott and Everett Gregory.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visitation on Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. until funeral time.
Funeral to be held on Saturday afternoon to St. Alexis Roman Catholic Church in Rollo Bay for funeral mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
