Norman Lewis McIver, formerly of Moose Jaw, died at his home in Conroe, Texas on June 23rd at the age of 78. Born on September 7th, 1931 in Abbey, Sk, Norman attended Normal School in Moose Jaw, and subsequently taught at Davin School in Regina. He later attended the University of Saskatchewan , where he completed his undergraduate studies , and went on to receive his PhD in Geology from Johns Hopkins University. Norm's entire career in geology was with Shell Oil where he served in numerous locations throughout North America. In retirement he resided in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Conroe, Texas. Norm loved Jesus, his wife and his family. He had a sharp wit, strong opinions, and a love for life. He served tirelessly and gave generously. He is survived by his wife, Muriel and their three children: Gordon S. McIver(Cathy), Bradley McIver (Annelie), Anne Fremont (Paul) and fivegrandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon McIver of Moose Jaw.
