Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit at the Sir Leonard A. Miller Centre, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 13, 2010, Con Meaney, of Avondale in his 73rd year. Predeceased by his parent William and Elizabeth; sisters: Bride, Margaret, Mildred, Mary Ellen; brothers: James, Aaron and Kevin; his nephews: John Parsley and Andrew Power. Left to celebrate his life are his sister Theresa Power; brother Bill (Helen) and sister-in-law Helen. Fond and loving memories are shared by his niece Helen O'Leary (Jackie) with whom he resided and their sons: Shawn, Junnie, Dwayne, Clyde and Dale; also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his fellow Knights of Cabot Council 6001. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2010, with Mass of Christian Burial from Assumption Church, Avondale. Cremation to follow.
