February 9, 1922 - May 20, 2009. Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, Effie Whiteway of Green’s Harbour, aged 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Reginald (Reg) 1990. She leaves to mourn with precious memories, her four children: Ros (Eric), Evan (Sharon), Liz (Ivan) and Barbara (Marcel), as well as her seven loving grandchildren: Marc, Vanessa, Craig, Dana, Steven, Colleen and Brigette and seven great-grandchildren: Breagh, Nyah, William, Brandon, Jessica, Tamara and Ryan. She is also lovingly remembered by a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and a lifetime of loving friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Thursday, May 21st from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, May 22nd, from 10 a.m. - 12:00 noon, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Then resting at Faith United Church, Green’s Harbour on Saturday, May 23rd from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. The funeral service will be held from Faith United Church on Saturday, May 23rd at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Faith United Church Cemetery.
