Helen Ann Carr (nee Piercy) died at the Orchard View Nursing Home on July 14th, 2010. She was the daughter of the late James and Thereasa (Howe) Piercy and the wife of the late Baden Carr. Helen was born in Geary, NB, on September 8th, 1919. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her family could always count on her willingness to help in any situation with a positive word or simply a shoulder to cry on. Her door was always open if you needed a place to stay. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Survived by son, Clayton, son in law, Frank Murphy; grandchildren, Tina, Carol- Ann, Darwin, Timothy, Trevor, Krista, Shawn and Mark; great grandchildren, Tristan, Michael, Graham, Amber, Steven, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth, Makayla and Matthew; great great granddaughter, Serena Grace; one niece, Terry - Lynn Smith; nephews, Richard and David Harris. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Baden; daughter Carolle Murphy; sisters, Hazel Harris, Verna Ingram; daughter in law, Irene Carr.
There will be no visitation by family request. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service in her honor on Monday, July 19th, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Keith Howlett officiating. Interment will take place in the Spurden Carr Cemetery, Geary, NB. For those who wish, memorial tributes in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
