WARREN, Patience - 87, St. John's, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Born in New Perlican, Trinity Bay on July 6, 1921, she was the youngest of seven children. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara Callahan. She was a lifetime member of the Crystal Chapter, LOBA and an active member of the UCW at St. James United Church. She worked in the Education Library at Memorial University for many years. While her husband, Clarence, was alive they enjoyed travelling. They were avid campers and spent many, many a weekend at Butter Pot Park. After his death, and then after her retirement, she continued travelling independently and was actively involved in her community. She was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, William (Wendy), Georgetown, Ontario; Jim (Louise), Halifax, N.S.; Dora Warren Davis, Windsor, N.S.; grandchildren Jody Warren (Lisa), Paradise, N.L., Laura Warren (Patrick), Toronto, Ontario; Russell Warren (Heather), Ottawa, Ontario; Michael Magee (Jen), Montreal; Sarah Warren, Halifax, N.S.; Michele Logan (David), Falmouth, N.S.; Richard Davis, Windsor, N.S.; Timothy, Vanessa and Jake Warren, St. John's; great grandchildren: Sydney and Brooke Warren; Noah and Lily Warren; Grant Logan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence, sons Ronald and Clarence (Bud); sisters Maud, Sadie, Gladys; brothers Harry, Tom, Ron. Her family would like to express appreciation to her loving niece Genevive Dale, and a special note of thanks to the staffs of Margaret's Manor, Cambridge Estates, Escasoni and Agnes Pratt Nursing Homes, for their ongoing care, support and kindness to both Pat and her family over the past four years. Visitation will take place on Sunday and Monday, October 5 and 6, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John's. To celebrate her life there will be a service at the St. James United Church, Elizabeth Avenue, St. John's, on Tuesday, October 7, at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and the family welcomes you to a reception at Barrett's Funeral Home immediately following.
