Langille: Eva Maude (Fraser), 101, of Truro and formerly of Londonderry, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the Colchester Regional Hospital Truro. Born in Charlottetown, PE, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Maude (Crossman) Fraser, Charlottetown, PE. Eva was a long time resident of Londonderry and raised and educated in Boston. Eva was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary # 106 Debert, and a former member of the Londonderry Historical Society. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her three children. Son, Edward, Londonderry; daughters, Sally (John) Richard, Londonderry; Nancy (Bill) Matthews, Bible Hill; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Ena Crossman, Amherst. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward; grandsons, Mark Matthews, Charles Langille; daughter-in-law, Sandra Langille; great-great-grandson, Sandy Duncan Mailman; sisters, Ida Mae, Pearl, Jean, Alberta, Florence, Nettie; brothers, Andrew, Herbert, Robert. Visitation will be held 2-3pm Monday, May 25, followed by Royal Canadian Legion Br.# 106 Debert, Ladies Auxiliary tribute service and funeral service with Nancy Corrigan, DM officiating, all in the Acadia Mines United Church Londonderry. A reception will follow in the Londonderry Community Center. Private family interment to be held in the Hillcrest Cemetery Londonderry. Family flowers only. Donations in Eva’s memory may be made to the Acadia Mines United Church Londonderry. Eva’s family would like to thank the VON Adult Day Care Program and all the staff and friends at The Mira for their love and compassionate care given to Eva.
