STEWART, Lauretta Margaret (Gallant) July 18, 1940 - June 29 2010. With heavy hearts we announce that our beloved angel Laurette suddenly passed away on June 29 with her family by her side. Born in St. George, PEI, she was a daughter of the late Rudolph and Jeanette (DeLorey) Gallant. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Bill; son Greg (Terri); grandchildren Sydney and Brad; daughter Karen (Jamie Saklofsky); grandchildren Jacob and Ben and all those who knew and loved her. Laurette is also survived by her family in Nova Scotia. Sister Mary (Fred) Leblanc of Pictou; brothers Peter of New Germany, Gerald (Bea) of Milton & Winston of Pictou; sisters-in-law Mary Arneson of Price Rupert, BC and Dawn Gallant of Liverpool. Predeceased by brothers Joseph and Charlie. Laurette's family was everything to her and she was everything to them. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids and proudly supported their sports and various activities. She was adored by her nieces & nephews and touched everybody whose path she crossed. She will always be remembered for her ever present smile, spunky attitude & constant willingness to lend a hand to those in need. Laurette was active in Beta Sigma Phi sorority, CWL, curling, golfing and she loved her Card Girls. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and gardening. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Laurette's life was held Tuesday, July 13th, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Donations in her memory may be made to Kamloops Hospice Assoc., 72 Whiteshield Cres. S.
