Maxime Cormier of Domaine de la Vallee, Memramcook (formerly of Lakeburn) passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the age of 87. Born on August 7, 1922 in Little Dover Rd, he was the son of the late Antoine Cormier and the late Melina Auffrey. He worked at Jean-Louis Leveques arena as a Zamboni operator until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Florence; three daughters, Ruth (Dollard) LeBlanc of La Montain, Charline (Mauril) Leger of Lakeburn and Marie (Oscar) Melanson of Dieppe; one son, Daniel (Janice) Cormier of La Montain; three sisters, Ella (late Gerry) Chevarie of Dieppe, May (Henri) Bourgeois of Moncton and Eveline (late Cyrille) Auffrey of Pre-D'en-Haut, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Gisele, three sisters Rita, Jeannita and Marianne and by two brothers Edgar and Roger. Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook, on Thursday, July 22 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Friday July 23 from 2 to 3:30 pm. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Thomas de Memramcook church, St-Joseph on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Interment will be held at Our Lady Calvary cemetery.
