It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Emily Jane Davidson. She passed peacefully on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Victoria Union Hospital surrounded by love. Emily was born August 4th, 1926 in Whitewood, SK and moved to Kinistino in 1947. She met Walter Davidson in 1948 and they were married on January 11th, 1949. Emily and Walter lived six years on their farm at Kinistino. In 1955 they decided to leave the farm and moved to Prince Albert. Emily was a cub leader for many years, volunteered at Pineview Terrace, and served her Church in many capacities. She also was an avid quilter, card player and was passionate about her sports. Emily and Walter also enjoyed their summers at their cabin at Murray Point. Left to mourn her passing are her loving family: Walter her husband of sixty-one years; her children Jim (Colleen) of Saskatoon, John (Kathy) of Fort St. John, BC and Doug (Wendy) of Fort St. John, BC; her seven grandchildren Alysha of Vancouver, BC, Kyle, Christopher and Cameron of Fort St. John, BC, Andrea of Grande Prairie, AB and Eric (Cheryl) and Michael (Carissa) of Calgary, AB. She will also be remembered by her sisters Alice Wilson of Moosomin, Evelyn Busch of Whitewood and her brother Spencer of Kinistino, sisters-in-law Mary Thomas of Winnipeg, Margaret Boyd of Kinistino and Jan (Len) Breault of Summerland, BC; brother-in-law Willie (Shirley) of Shellbrook and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents John and Edith Vennard; her brothers Glen, Clarence and Percy; her sisters Olive and Rosalyn; her parents-in-law Jim and Margaret Davidson. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 26th, at St. Georges Anglican Church - 1104 - 4th Street East. It is the family's request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to St Georges' Anglican Church, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of the donor's choice. Interment will take place in the Garden of Devotion, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
