Passed peacefully away at Elizabeth Towers on Saturday May 23rd, 2009, age 100 years. Predeceased by her husband, Lorne (1973); son, Stephen (1946) and daughter, Jane (1956). Leaving to mourn daughter, Faith Henderson (John); son, Geoffrey (Carla); 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister; Marjorie Hawkins of Sudbury, Ontario. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday May 25th from 2 to4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday May 26th, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Society Newfoundland & Labrador or a charity of one’s choice.
