The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 22, 2009, of Helen “Belle” LeBlanc, of Summerside, aged 87 years. Born in Sevogle, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lucy (Doucet) Estey. Survived by her children, Jeanne Heikamp (John Oliver), Rachelle (Ronald),Paulette (Ronald) Edwards, Julie Anne (Blair) MacDonald, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, brothers, Frederick (Kay) and Edwin, and by sisters, Ruth Murphy and Clare Harris, all of New Brunswick. Predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Al” LeBlanc, brothers, Gerald, George, Lawrence and Cletus, and by sisters, Edna Mower, Magdallen Kingston, Sarah Lynch, Joanne and Bernice, in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations to Summerside Meals on Wheels or the Hospice Palliative Care Association, Summerside, would be appreciated. Members of St. Paul's C.W.L. will hold a prayer service, at the funeral home, Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 p.m.
