MARLENE HOVDEBO
Marlene Hovdebo (nee Dowse, Krug), renowned golfer, curler, bridge player and grandma, passed away in Saskatoon on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the age of 71. She was predeceased by her loving husband Neil; her brother Barrie Dowse and her sister Geraldine Nash. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her three children Rae Ann Newman (Jeff), Barrie (Eun Jung) Krug and Brian Krug (Gayle) whom will miss her dearly, as well as her two grandsons Kale and Aaron Krug. She will also be remembered fondly by her step-grandchildren Steven Zimmer and Daniel Lariviere. Marlene was born on June 28, 1939 in Moose Jaw, SK and spent most of her adult life in Prince Albert where she was a highly regarded employee at Weyerhauser for 25 years. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Reverend Avonda McKay will officiate. Interment of cremated remains will take place in the Norden Cemetery. It is the family's request that those wishing to place memorials may do so to the Canadian Cancer Society.
