The death of Linda Marie (McAloon) Sales occurred on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born May 7, 1955 in Fredericton, she is the daughter of Ada "Patsy" (Kelly) and the late Roy McAloon. Linda worked in the Faculty of Computer Science at UNB. She attended St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. In addition to her mother, Linda is survived by two daughters, Kerry and Kim Sales ,both of Fredericton NB; four sisters, Betty (Tom) Robertson of New Maryland, NB, Anne (Dennis) Bamford of St. Martins, NB, Susan (Raymond) Gullison and Mary (Brian) Hay of Stanley, NB, brother Mike (Dena) McAloon of Edmonton, AB. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda's 23-year battle with cancer did not define who she was. Her quiet courage, strength, determination and characteristic subtle humor were admired by all who knew her. For many, she epitomized the skill of living one day at a time in the philosophy of the "glass half full".
