MERRY, James M. - 65, of Middlefield, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, July 23, 2010. Born in Caledonia, he was a son of the late Mervin and Evangeline (Weare) Merry. James worked on the homestead in his early years. He worked for a time with Department of Natural Resources, but spent most of his time working in the woods. He spent the last of his working days at Pettipas Enterprises. He enjoyed exhibitions and family get-togethers, but first and foremost, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his son Wilson (Kelly Mundorf) of Stettler, AB; daughters Melissa Merry (Glenn Cunningham) of Maitland Bridge and Rachel (Laurie) Joudrey of Middlefield; grandchildren: Rebecca Rose Mae Cunningham, Cameron Glenn Cunningham,. Venessa Marie Cunningham, Brandon James Cunningham, Abagail Maureen Mae Joudrey, Logan Vincent James Joudrey, and Aiden Joshua Merry; sisters: Gail (Paul) Fancy of Westfield, Paulette (Arden) Doak of Fredericton, NB, Sharon Frail of Hibernia and Lynn (Steven Martin) of Bridgewater; brothers: Leigh (Cathy) and Larry (Valerie), both of Maitland Bridge as well as many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service was held Wednesday, July 28th, 2010 in St. Paul's United Church, Maitland Bridge. Pastor Tom Watson officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Maitland Bridge. Donations may be made to the family or the Canadian Cancer Society.
