Irène Doucet, 88, of Spencer's and formerly of Churchill St, Moncton, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born November 9, 1921 in Ste-Marie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Anselme and Odile (LeBlanc) Bastarache. She will be sadly missed by her six daughters: Eva(Omer) Melanson, Stella (Bill) Lewis, Jeannine (Gérald) Poirier, Nelida (Neri) Deveau, Rose (Edouard Gaudet) Doucet, Shirley Doucet all of Moncton; six sons: Bill Jr. (Marie-Paule), Paul, Edgar, Alcide, Pierre (Linda); 22 grandchildren and by 17 great grandchildren. The last surviving member of her immediate family she is predeceased by her husband, William Doucet (2001), an infant son, Roger (1963), three grandchildren, Michelle, Nathalie, Stella and by several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday, August 3 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, August 4 from 10:00 a.m. until departure to N-D-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
