The death occurred peacefully and with family at his side at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Sunday, August 1, 2010, of Joe Gaudin, a veteran of the Second World War, age 92.
Joe was the beloved husband of the late Hermine Gaudin (nee Arsenault); the loving father of Urbain (Lorna), Julien (Dolores), Anne Marie (Art) Buote, Bernadette (Paul) Field and Cecilia (Edgar) Doiron; grandfather of Todd and Lisa; André and Maria; Alana, Phillip, Jeremy, Russell, Giselle and Mary Ellen; Chris, Tyler, Sarah and Alex; and Emily and Kelsey; and great-grandfather of 12. Joe is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary Anne Gaudin and Florence Arsenault and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosalie (Gaudet) Gaudin; son, Lionel at the age of 28 and infant son, Joseph; his brother, Gerard; and sisters, Sister Marion Gaudin and Mary Perry.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
