Blanche Sampson, 95 of South Bar, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at the MacGillivary Guest Home, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Elizabeth (Rockett) MacDonald of South Bar.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer parish and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond, Sydney, Edward and wife Dorothy, St. Peters, William and wife Delores, South Bar, Philip and wife Shirley, Donkin; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Freeman Sampson; daughter, Lois MacDonald Houston; brothers, John, William and Joseph MacDonald and son, Jimmy English.
Visitation for Blanche Sampson will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Dan MacInnis officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
